Two companies that kept meeting in the same equipment room.

VIVA Pools builds and runs commercial aquatic facilities across the mid-Atlantic. Hydromation builds software for operational businesses. Between us we had watched too many pool budgets get written from the parking lot, so we built the tool we wished the board had.

David McLaughlin

Founder and President, Hydromation, Inc.

David started Hydromation in Ashburn, Virginia after years of watching organizations buy technology that was sold better than it was built. He has designed and shipped every platform in the Hydromation portfolio himself, from CMMC Map, a compliance product for small defense contractors, to HydroScheduler, field-service software for pool operations. Hydro Monitor carries the same habits: tenant isolation and an audit trail from the first day, forecasts that are deterministic rather than guessed, and nothing proprietary running in the browser.

Gincho Haritev

President, VIVA Pools, LLC

Gincho runs VIVA Pools, a Fairfax, Virginia design-build, renovation and pool-management firm he founded in 2015. VIVA holds a Virginia Class A contractor license for commercial and residential work and operates across Virginia, Maryland, DC, West Virginia and Delaware: lazy rivers and splash pads, filter-room renovations, code-compliance upgrades, lifeguard staffing. That end-to-end view of what gets installed, how it gets serviced and what it costs to replace is the knowledge the forecasting is built on.

Nobody else does this

Pool software schedules routes and sends invoices. The one firm that produces pool capital budgets delivers them as a one-time consulting PDF. A plan that stays current is new.

The rules are already here

Twelve states require associations to hold reserve studies, Virginia among them, and pool equipment is a required component. The data those studies need is what we collect.

The equipment can talk

Modern chemistry and filtration controllers send email alerts and publish to portals. We use what is already in the room before we ask anyone to buy hardware.
